To lobby for the People’s Bill on The Right of Children to Free, Compulsory, Quality, Equitable Education up to 18 years (12th std ) Act, 2015 HRF, through the Tamil Nadu Forum on Right to Education, submitted the draft bill to Mr. Ambrish Rai, National Convener, National RTE Forum at the 7th National Stocktaking Convention on the implementation of RTE Act, 2009 held on 30 March 2017, New Delhi organised by Right to Education Forum.
The National RTE Forum will conduct a consultation on the people’s bill in June or July 2017.
Prof. Shantha Sinha, Former Chairperson, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and a friend of HRF was also present at the Constitution Club on the occasion.
HRF was represented by Ms Annie Namala, Mr.Edwin, Ms Tamilarasi and Ms Revathy.
