A Survivors Support and Solidarity Forum (SSSF) meeting was successfully held in Tenkasi District on 10 October 2026, bringing together survivors and community members to discuss issues related to justice, rights, and access to support systems.
Around 20 participants, including 15 survivors, attended the forum. The meeting provided a safe space for sharing experiences, strengthening mutual support, and promoting collective action. Discussions focused on 4 cases of gender based violence and 14 cases of caste-based atrocities, primarily related to land rights, highlighting the need for timely legal intervention, effective protection mechanisms, accountability from authorities, and improved access to government welfare and support services.
The forum reaffirmed the importance of survivor led solidarity, community vigilance, and collective advocacy in advancing dignity, justice, equality, and access to rights for survivors and other marginalised communities.
