Gram Panchayat Development Plan (Master training)

Human Rights Advocacy and Research Foundation organised a two-day residential master training (training of trainers, ToT) on Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) on 21 and 22 January 2019 at Madurai.

Participation: 139 participants (74 Men, 65 Women) from 106 NGOs from all 32 districts in Tamil Nadu participated. There were participants from Delhi and Puducherry.

Village Development Plan (VDP) Book Release: A guide book named “Adithala Makkalatchiyin Thiravugol” (A key for grassroots democracy) was released. About 10,000 pamphlets on ‘why we should participate in the 26 January 2019 gram sabha meeting’ was distributed among the participants.

Followup: Organisations from Dharmapuri, Erode, Tirupur, Tuticorin Sivagangai, Theni and Nilgiris districts expressed interest to organize follow up district level training for their respective gram sabha members.
