Training in Prevention of Atrocities Act

Human Rights Advocacy and Research Foundation successfully organised six zonal-level training sessions in Villupuram, Ariyalur, Madurai, Tiruppur, Dharmapuri, and Thirupathur from 27 December 2024 to 10 January 2025. These trainings brought together local NGOs working to empower vulnerable communities, including women, children, and Dalits. The training covered the implementation of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and helping victims in securing justice. During the sessions, we proudly launched a Self-Defence Guide for Victims, and POA Survivors’ Forum equipping individuals with practical tools to protect and empower themselves.
