Budget Analysis
Training
Budget research, analysis and advocacy has gained increasing importance in the pursuit of social justice—whether for socially excluded communities, women or children. The union government has even made ‘gender budgeting’ a part of its budget analysis and reporting. Yet most human rights defenders, social activists and development practitioners have only rudimentary skills or expertise in this vital skill.
To meet this need a training programme on Budget Policy, Research, Analysis and Advocacy is being is organised in Chennai by HRF in collaboration with the National Campaign on Dalit Human Rights.
The training has been developed for civil society organisations, NGOs, iNGOs and development practitioners. It will enable the participants to effectively analyse the government budgets and policies. It will cover the entire budget formulation process, from the basics to analysis, codification, tracking and policy advocacy.
