Human rights

 

HRF conducts a range of human rights courses – from the introductory to advanced, from specialised/thematic focused to comprehensive integrated courses. They cover the history, the theory, tools and practical tips and workarounds in the field.

Participants in our courses range from community level human rights defenders (HRDs) to elected constitutional functionaries in local government (Panchayat Presidents) to students and post-doctoral research scholars.

The resource persons are all practitioners with practical experience ranging from judges of high courts, practising lawyers, college professions and everyday HRDs.

Duration: 1-15 days depending on the course requirement.

Customised courses are conducted for academic institutions (schools, colleges and professional institutes), government agencies and other civil society organisations (NGOs, NPOs) on request.

All courses are intensive and practice oriented. Participants must be prepared for focused work.

Introductory course

The introductory course is a two day residential programme on human rights is open to all. It is conducted periodically, according to demand.
